Huawei to Build 3G CDMA2000 Network in Iraq

China's Huawei has announced a deal with Telephone al Iraq to build a 3G CDMA2000 (Code Division Multiple Access 2000) telecommunications network in southern Iraq, AFX News reported. Although terms and value of the deal were not furnished, this CDMA network is expected to be the largest of its kind in the region. Commercial operations are envisaged to commence in early 2007.
